For Canadian companies, search the Canadian Patents Database. Use the Advanced Search and enter the company name in the Owner field.

U.S patents searches can be done at the U.S. Patent Office. To search by 7-digit specific patent number, use the number search.

For an insight into worldwide patent systems, try Patent Lens. This website offers patent tutorials, and a search tool for patents.

Search LexisNexis Academic .  Click on Search by Subject or Topic above the Search box, then under the Legal Section choose Patent Search

Search Scopus. Do a search (e.g. toothbrush) and then click the Patents tab in the results.

Also try some of the sites suggested in the Chemistry - Finding Patents guide.

Try also Google Scholar.
