How do I cite websites and webpages?

Section 10.16 of the APA manual provides information on creating references for webpages and websites (pp. 350-352).

If you are referring to an entire website, you do not need to create an in-text citation or a reference list entry. Instead, note the name of the website in the text and include the site's URL in parentheses.

If you are citing webpages from a website, create references for each page.

Example of a webpage with a group author:

Canadian Nurses Association. (2009). Canadian organizations come together in the fight against malaria.          http://www.cna-aiic.ca/CNA/news/releases/public_release_e.aspx?id=248

*Note that the second and subsequent lines should be indented in APA references (not shown in the examples above due to html formatting.)

First citation in text: (Canadian Nurses Association [CNA], 2009)

Subsequent citations: (CNA, 2009)
